TUBES
Micronic Sample Storage Tubes

• Class 10,000 clean-room production
• RNase-, DNase-, Pyrogen-free - suitable for the most sensitive biological samples
• 100% quality control on all 2D codes
• Barcodes are permanently laser-etched, resisting even solvent attack and wear
• 2D barcodes also have a human-readable code

Interior Bottom Shapes:

• Available U-bottom or V-bottom
• Pointed V-bottom interior shape is pipettor-friendly
Interior Double Rings:

• Only Micronic tubes have double rings at the top of the tubes
• Allows a secure hold of TPE caps in place and prevents them from popping off during freeze/thaw cycles or piercing
Snap Tubes

• Prevent sample loss from everyday accidents
• Novel locking feature holds tubes securely in their wells – tubes remain in the rack even when it is turned upside-down
• Downward pressure locks tubes and upward pressure releases tubes in their wells
• “Snap” option is available on any Micronic 0.50ml - 1.40ml in LoBo or RoBo Racks
White-Background Alphanumeric Coding

• Contrasting print improves readability and reduces manual reading errors
• Ideal for use with colored samples (such as blood) that make it difficult to read black print on transparent tubes
• Smooth external bottom is suitable for automation
• Available on Micronic Alphanumeric tubes, sizes 0.50ml - 1.40ml, as well as on TPE or Screw Cap tubes
Micronic 2D Coding

The 2-dimensional code on the tube bottom eliminates the ambiguity over the identity of your valuable stored samples. Laser-encrypted code will not fade nor peel off over time due to repeated temperature changes or to exposure to chemicals compatible with polypropylene. TrackerDM Code Direct compatibility with existing Data Matrix coded tube storage systems allows to build flexibility upon investments already made.

Tubes for Light-Sensitive Samples

• 0.50, 1.50, 15 & 50ml centrifuge volumes
• Ideal for use with fluorescent probes or ethidium bromide
• Tubes are made of medical grade polypropylene
• Storable at temperatures as low as -100°C
• Autoclavable at up to 122°C

RACKS

• Refill Carrier-96 improves speed of refilling racks
• Micronic racks are an industry standard SBS footprint
• Racks are made of the highest quality polypropylene (LoBo, StaBo, & RoBo Racks) or polycarbonate (CoMo Racks)
• All racks are available pre-barcoded

Twist Lock wells

(LoBo and RoBo Racks) prevent tubes from turning while Screw Capping.

Sure Shot wells

(LoBo and RoBo Racks) ensure smooth loading of tubes into racks by allowing imprecisely-loaded tubes to fall into their respective wells.

CAPS
TPE Cap Range

• Enhanced elastomer is easier to pierce and self-resealing
• Each cap is multipierceable without losing its seal integrity

The TPE Advantage
For many sample storage applications TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) is the perfect tube capping material as it offers superior characteristics and performance to other polymeric materials. Micronic’s unique TPE sample storage caps are multi-pierceable and repel the ingress of water ensuring long term sample integrity. In addition, Micronic’s TPE caps have high solvent resistance that, in combination with ultra-low extractable materials, eliminates the possibility of sample contamination from the tube cap. Whether applying single caps directly to tubes or using an automated capping system, Micronic TPE caps provide maximum sample integrity for long term storage. Used in conjunction with an approved capping system, the TPE cap additionally offers considerable productivity benefits over alternative capping materials.
