Free amino or subhydryl groups on the biomolecule react spontaneously and are covalently tethered to the surface through an optimized spacer arm. Choose from polystyrene plates in standard 96-well format or polystyrene modules consisting of twelve 8-well strips. LockWell™ modules feature 8-well break apart strips that can be separated into individual wells and then locked into a frame at the same horizontal level for uniform washing and reading. Plates have a high signal-to-noise ratio, no surface leaching, reduced steric hindrance of bound molecules, and highly reproducible binding with low CVs. They require no blocking or activation steps and feature site directed binding. Plates are also stable for long periods at room temperature. Choose clear plates and strips for colorimetric assays, white plates for bioluminescence and chemiluminescence assays, and black plates for fluorescence assays.
