Wells have conical tops to help center protein droplets for optimized crystallization under oil, and smooth, flat bottoms to assure perfect microscopic visualization of growing crystals. The clear 96-Well Low-Profile Plate is low-profile for minimized storage space. The black 96-Well Plate has a µClear® polystyrene microthin film bottom for clearer imaging or viewing and minimized autofluorescence. The 1536-Well Plate with LBR is made of polyolefin for low birefringence (LBR), and is specially designed for use with polarized light. Plates are supplied without lids.
