Microplates are constructed of either PZero or COC polymer. PZero polymer is superior for zero background polarization and nonbirefringence. The COC polymer offers strong chemical compatibility and good optical clarity. For easy identification, reservoir numbers are embossed on each individual well. All vessels conform to SBS specifications for full compatibility in automated crystal screening.
Microplates are available with six unique protein well shapes. The standard round-, flat-, conical-, and conical flat-bottom styles are augmented by 1 and 2L conical flat bottoms with a crystal cup. The crystal cup design facilitates both the collection and centering of protein crystals after incubation. Each microplate features the standard reservoir well flanked by either one, three, or five of the protein wells, with SBS-standard spacing between the centers of adjacent well clusters.
Ordering information: All microplates are supplied untreated, with the exception of 89089-692 and 33502-110, which are surface treated for hydrophilicity.
