Microplates in strip format offer the advantage of greater flexibility in diagnostics

Quality controlled by means of ELISA. Clear MICROLON® products are tested in a colorimetric immunoassay, black FLUOTRAC™ plates in a fluorescence immunoassay, and white LUMITRAC™ plates in a luminescence immunoassay.

White strip plates are available treated with LUMITRAC™ 200 (medium binding) or LUMITRAC™ 600 (high binding) formats to meet luminescence assay requirements. Black strip plates are available treated with FLUOTRAC™ 200 (medium binding) or FLUOTRAC™ 600 (high binding) formats to meet fluorescence assay requirements. Clear strip plates are available with MICROLON™ 200 (medium binding) or MICROLON™ 600 (high binding) formats for reliable performance in binding assays when consistent coating of wells is required.

Plates are available with C-, flat-, or round-bottom well shapes. C-bottom plates have a flat bottom for optical measurement and hard, curved corners for elimination of liquid traps and improved plate washing. The chimney-well design reduces the risk of cross-contamination.

Individual strips can be removed from the support frame so that the number of tests to be performed can be adjusted to the number of samples, and is not predetermined by the microplate format used. In addition, the individual strips can be subjected to a wide variety of different test conditions. C-bottom single-break strips are supplied as twelve 8-well strips in a support frame with 96 spaces (12 x 8 matrix). The individual wells can be broken off separately (“single-break” option) and the number of tests performed can thus be precisely adjusted to the number of samples.
